Ryan Fischer — Biologist/Project Manager
B.S. Biology and Environmental Science
Ryan Fischer is a wildlife biologist and specialist in private land management including prescribed burning, prairie restorations, invasive species control, and wetland restorations.
Ryan has extensive experience with prescribed fire, managing native prairie restorations, writing certified burn plans, and obtaining necessary permits associated with projects, and is a burn boss for EC3's prescribed fire crews. With ten plus years of diverse experience in the field of conservation, Ryan has become a well-rounded biologist and valuable asset to EC3's team.
Throughout his tenure, Ryan has been studying all phases of conservation of natural resources and field biology/ecology through the University of Wisconsin - Green Bay. Aside from his formal education, Ryan has gained the majority of his practical knowledge through hands-on field experience.
In his free time, Ryan enjoys managing and hunting for whitetails, maintaining his food plots, planning western hunting adventures, and spending time in the outdoors with his wife and daughter. Ryan maintains memberships in Pheasants Forever, Wisconsin Waterfall Association, Ducks Unlimited, Whitetails Unlimited, Safari Club International, and The Nature Conservancy.
Ryan is currently a Project Manager/ Land Management Consultant for EC3's private sector. Ryan's efforts are focused on habitat and wildlife management on private land, as well as managing various corporate/private business's native landscapes. Ryan obtained a B.S. in Biology and Environmental Science from the University of Wisconsin Green Bay in 2002. He is a certified wildland firefighter, obtaining certification through the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (S-130/190, I-100, S-131, S-212, S-290, S-234, S-133, S-230, S-231, S-271 S-215, S-390, L-180), in which he is continually adding certifications. Ryan is also is a certified pesticide applicator through the State of Wisconsin DATCP.
