Richie Breunig — Project Manager
B.S. Wildlife Ecology: Research and Management
Rich is a wildlife biologist who works with private landowners, government municipalities, and corporations to manage their land. More specifically, he assists clients in prairie restoration, invasive species eradication, food plot installation, prescribed burning, native landscaping, timber stand improvement, and creating property management plans. Rich graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point with a degree in Wildlife Ecology: Research and Management which has granted him a broad understanding of the interaction between plant and wildlife communities. Immediately after graduation he started working professionally in the habitat restoration field. In the fall of 2011, Rich started his career at EC3 as a Land Management Technician, gaining additional "hands-on" experience and knowledge that led to his current position as Project Manager. With the combination of Rich's education and training in the field, he has become a valuable member of EC3.
Rich is a certified wildland firefighter, obtaining certification through the National Wildfire Coordinating Group (S-130, S-190, S-290, I-100) and plans to continue adding NWCG certifications. He is also a certified pesticide applicator through The State of Wisconsin DATCP.
Rich enjoys spending most of his free time hunting and working on his family's property. He also enjoys fishing, kayaking, and hiking, among many other outdoor activities. Rich maintains membership with Pheasants Forever, Whitetails Unlimited, Quality Deer Management Association, and the National Wild Turkey Federation.
