The Aldo Leopold Foundation is a not-for-profit organization that works to weave a land ethic into the fabric of our society; to advance the understanding, stewardship, and restoration of land health; and to cultivate leadership for conservation.
The Ice Age Trail Alliance is a volunteer- and member-based nonprofit organization whose mission is to create, support, and protect a thousand-mile footpath tracing Ice Age formations across Wisconsin - the Ice Age National Scenic Trail. Ice Age Trail Alliance staff and volunteers work cooperatively with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, National Park Service, local governments, businesses, and private landowners to shape the Ice Age Trail into one of the premier hiking trails in the United States.
NRF's mission is to create opportunities for people who care about Wisconsin 's lands, waters and wildlife to deepen their understanding and appreciation for these natural resources, to support state and local conservation programs, and to establish conservation endowments. NRF accomplishes that mission by raising funds for rare and endangered species, habitat protection and restoration, community-based conservation, environmental education and outreach, and general support for the DNR.
The mission of the Nature Conservancy is to preserve the plants, animals, and natural communities that represent the diversity of life on Earth by protecting the lands and waters they need to survive.
Gathering Waters Conservancy's mission is to help land trusts, landowners, and communities protect the places that make Wisconsin special. Our goal is to increase the amount of protected land in Wisconsin through private, voluntary action.
The Geneva Lake Conservancy is a not-for-profit organization dedicated to the preservation of environmentally sensitive lands, open space, and the unique character and quality of life of Walworth County, Wisconsin. Working with landowners and government officials, the Conservancy advocates private and public land use and management decisions that assure responsible growth and protection of natural and historic resources.
Chicago Wilderness is a regional alliance that connects people and nature. We are more than 250 organizations that work together to restore local nature and improve the quality of life for all who live here, by protecting the lands and waters on which we all depend. NASECA strives to provide information, training, and networking opportunities and welcomes suggestions for conferences and workshops that may advance understanding in these rapidly evolving fields.
Pheasants Forever is dedicated to the conservation of pheasants, quail, and other wildlife through habitat improvements, public awareness, education, and land management policies and programs.
