Bob Wick — Senior Technician
Bob Wick has been actively involved in land management for more than 15 years. Upon receiving a degree from UW-Milwaukee in 1991, he worked for Wisconsin Ducks in Wisconsin Dells. This gave him firsthand experience and knowledge in various conservation projects such as shoreline restoration, tree planting, invasive control, and timber stand improvement. Bob also gained invaluable practical knowledge on various types of equipment and their maintenance. Working for the Wisconsin DNR in 1995 at Horicon Marsh as an assistant wildlife tech, Bob had the opportunity to perform waterfowl bandings, wildlife surveys, and food plot installations.
Bob started his prescribed burn experience with Pheasants Forever in 2005. Working for them seasonally, he also gained practical experience in native prairie plantings, CRP interseedings, and forestry mowing. To date, Bob has achieved over 800 acres planted and more than 500 hours of forestry mowing.
Bob's certifications include Wildland Fire Courses S-130/190, S-131, and S-290. He also holds a Wisconsin Pesticide Applicator's license.
In his spare time, Bob spends his time taking care of his food plots, hunting, and managing his family's woodlands of over 200 acres. He is a member of Wisconsin Woodland Owners Association, Pheasants Forever, and The Nature Conservancy.
